Foxie the chimpanzee spent most of her life involved in medical experiments for American drug companies. Eventually she was rescued and sent to a wildlife reserve in Washington in the Pacific north west. Part of her time in captivity was spent in a breeding programme with her babies taken for experiments. Now she lives with fellow rescued chimps and has a large collection of brightly-colored troll dolls
